What is Home Merchandising?
Additionally, a home should have great "curb appeal"! That is, looking good from the street, in order to entice the buyer into the home. When your home is merchandised, it will feature each room at its best. You want to create a showcase, so it can sell at the highest price and in the shortest amount of time. A seller only has control over two factors:
What do we do?
Use “Buyers’ Eyes” – looking for those things that are features to enhance in the home- a fireplace, lovely view features to enhance in the home – and we’ll refocus the room to play up to those area. We will also work to minimize distractions or detractions in the home – ugly view, odd configuration, etc. We use a variety of techniques – including rearranging, refreshing the interior with color and reducing the number of objects – a buyer needs to be able to mentally move into a home. We use color to add appeal and warmth, and make sure the house is clutter-free. When to Home Stage: You will want to stage as soon as you decide to sell your home. With the help of a Realtor, you will have a "brokers' tour" and an "open house". A staged home will stand out among the other homes during these promotional events |
